my boss drives a 1.9 tdi and recently it is dead as hector i drove car a few weeks ago it was a quick car but now if u put ur foot down there is no lift at all a tractor would be quicker it is due a service but even still shouldn't slow it down like that any ideas

The MAS will have gone mass airflow sensor, its a common occurrence, it will be changed under warranty, thats if it still is, or for around £70 if not

As well as the MAF sensor it could also be a split hose for the turbo (black smoke when accelerating?) they also suffer from the turbo sticking

cheers for the replys the maf sensor was done not that long ago so i checked pipes to turbo and one was split so cut and rejoined seems to have worked for now thanx again
