anybody know what the sqeaking and ticking on my j reg audi 80 is all about.
It was squeaking badly from a dodgy front right ball joint a few weeks ago so I had it fixed, by an honest mechanic (rare i know). he also checked the wheel bearings and did a general check over the rest of the car as well. I had 2 new front tyres put on it last saturday and mentioned the squeaking to the guy who had a look for me and said he couldnt see anything obvious. it squeaks more when i take my foot off the gas and when i turn right, stops when i brake and usually stops when i accelerate.
Also, a couple of days ago a ticking started to come from the engine.
Any ideas???
