driver display

Sorry if i`verm in the wrong area (first timer) but need some info about the driver display. I have changed the front brake pads but the display still indicates the pads need changing. the brakes are good at the back. Is there a way off removing the symbol:aargh4:

It is in the wrong area as VAGCOM relates to on-board diagnostics for which you will need some software (VAGCOM) and a suitable cable.

BUT...

It sounds like you have replaced the pads and not connected up the brake wear circuit.

On the LHS front inner brake pad there should have been two wires connecting it to a socket on the suspension. If the replacement pads didn't have this wire then you need to snip the old wire from the old pads, strip it back a bit, twist them together and cover with insulating tape (or similar) then plug back into the socket. this will keep the light off - but it does mean you won't get indication of future brake wear.
