I couldn't miss the opportunity to be the first post plus I need help.

I've been trying to fix the below two error codes for a while now but am getting nowhere - hopefully someone here can suggest something that I haven't tried.

All the vac hoses that were found to be split have been replaced and I have searched for newly split ones and could not find any. The MAF has been replaced with an OEM same part number unit.

Is there any way to narrow down the fault?

Any help greatly appreciated.

No, sorry mate. Not solved either issue yet.
For the boost pressure I've checked for split tubes - nothing. I've done the tests and sometimes fail, sometimes pass so am reluctant to change the vac pump.
For the fuel trim, I'm not sure how to check any of the things on the wiki. I've had a look at the MAF (which is new) but I don't know what a faulty one looks like, the other things to check must have a procedure but I can't find one.

If you find a solution please post back here.

Anyone else able to shed some light or point to procedures?

Thanks,
uk-Pedro

from memory i have seen these faults before and was caused by a part seen when removing cover over fuel rail area, there is a T peice whcih connects crankcase breather to rocker cover breather. when ordering that peice from audi u will be given an rectified component which includes an orange film inside, if u need more info please reply and i will get pics and part numbers.
a lil brief but as i said its from memory, hope thats helped

Any verdict on those error codes - 17545+17887 ?

I'm having the same problem. I know my engine is definately running rich. I've already changed out O2 sensors and the MAF.

There is a noticeable hesitation when I move off. This seems to be worse with the MAF sensor connected. But measuring block 002 indicates the MAF's working okay. :1zhelp:

I also noticed that my secondary injection system stays on, even after the engine' s been warmed up.

Could this be leak in the breather tube for the air injection system ? :1zhelp:

The servo vac pipe has a t piece with one way valve. Check the one way valve by blowing and sucking. It is designed to maintain vacuum so you should be able to suck from the servo end but not blow.

hi,

I have an audi A4 2,0 auto. I have scanned the car, and got the above code 17887. car is jerking alot and idle is okay

car just had a full service and I changed the breather hose from the valve cover, however its still hesitating on acceleration. Feels like some one holding you back and then letting go. car seems fine when started from cold and gets rough once warmed up.

There is a slight hissing sound near the vacume hoses by the firewall, but cant see a leak and not sure if this is just normal. Is there any vacume pipes under the intake?

also noticed that there is more hesitation on uphill roads.

any help will be much appreciated.

Did you perform the output test for your brake booster vacuum pump ? It turned out that my pump was shot, giving the 17887 code.

Here's the test just in case :

; Engine OFF, Ignition ON, Shift Lever: P/N
; "Activate" Basic Setting
; Firmly press Brake Pedal twice > Field 4 = Test ON
; Wait until Field 4 shows "Sys. OK"
