2004 Audi A3 2.0 TDI - Fan, heater, steamy windows!

Please help

I recently got a new radiator in my A3. Since then every time I have the air con or heating on - the engine fan goes. For some reason if I let the fan go a minute - turn the heat off - wait another minute and turn the heat on again - the fan doesn't go! The windows tend to steam up all the time no matter what the weather also! The oil, coolant etc is all fine.

Could be a crack in the heater matrix leaking coolant into the aircon system. Similarly could be a seal leaking.
