Hi all, I'm going to go and look at an '04 A3 2.0TDi DSG Sport tomorrow, price looks good etc, but something is bothering me. I'm reading this forum and wondering, is it really as good as its cracked up to be? All I want really is a reliable car with a little bit of poke so I'm not crawling along struggling to reach the appropriate speed for the road.

Is it likely to be reliable? Are there any warning signs I should look out for?

Also, does the A3 share any parts with a VW, Skoda or SEAT? I remember my old Fabia shared some parts and oddly some parts were cheaper if sourced from a different marques dealer.

Any and all help will be gratefully appreciated.
