hi all, searched on threads and other forums, cant find the answer to this one.

i've got 2001 Leon, 1.9Tdi, with 90K on the clock. tried starting it the other day, the engine turns over, but the immobiliser kicks in (the instrument panel confirms it's an immobiliser issue).

tried the spare key. tried replacing the battery in the fob. tried disabling and then reconnecting the engine battery. all no good.

the dealer has had it. apparently, they've reset the codes. no good either.

Seat are recommending that i replace the instrument panel but cant guarantee this will work.

someone else suggested i replace the ignition switch or the wires running to the cluster.

any other thoughts that i can pass on to the dealer, before they spunk 500 quid of my money on something that might not work :aargh4:

thanks
