I've not posted in a while so pardon some of the ignorance of some of my questions here.
I've got a problem with my 1997 SEAT Ibiza 1.4 SE which has been there for a couple of years now. On the approach to a junction, roundabout etc..., when I let off the throttle and the engine speed comes down, it goes all the way to cut. I've gotten so used to it, I normally depress the clutch and bump start it while the car's still rolling. However I've been nagged into solving it once and for all by the missus.
First off, any ideas on what's likely to be the cause of this ?
Second, I've bought myself a VAGScanner VAG305 on eBay and plan to plug it in to see whether it gives me a fault reading. Any hints/tips on using this...
Third, a very stupid question I'm afraid, but can anyone tell me where the DLC on the car is and whether its a 16 pin connection or one of the 2 x 2 pin ones.
