Don't think I've posted any pictures here before of my old shed of a Passat.

It is a 2002 1.9 PD TDI (130hp) car with just under 144k on it.

I have the option of a company car and an itch to buy a newer one with my car allowance but whilst the old girl carries on as well as she is, why bother.

My only grief at the moment is that the clutch is near the end of its life which means a new duel mass flywheel as well, which I'm not happy about.

Looking good....

What are the dials under the stereo for?

So I can monitor what the engine is doing, they are;

Engine oil temperature.
Engine oil pressure.
Turbo boost.

I had them in my old MK4 Golf and transferred them when I got the Passat almost two years ago. Beats having the gap under the stereo in my opinion.

Pic below of the same setup in my old Golf which would be the same as your Bora.

Also in the Golf I had a voltmeter up here...

But I obviously had to leave that in the car when I sold it. I have another for the Passat but cannot be bothered to fit it. Probably will do so soon as I have a W8 interior light to fit as well.

The gauges are quite straight forward to fit and wire up if you have some basic knowledge of car electrics, four wires in most cases.

Ignition feed
Earth
Lighting feed
Cable to sender unit

The senders are easy as well, t piece for oil pressure and fit where existing stock sender is, sump plug sender for the oil temp.

Probably the hardest part of the job is running the cables and boost hose into the interior from the engine bay.
