Hi,
Does anyone know if Charlotte resolved her MKIV problems at this thread

Turn the car on and power cuts out when cold (car will rev, but will lose all revs when engaging 1st gear until engine warm). Once engine warm and you put it into 2nd, my foot is to the carpet and absolutely nothing, a funny 'knocking' and then all of a sudden the power cuts in very jerkily. Feels WRONG ! Any ideas?
Some suggestions were:
Throttle body
Engine speed sensor
Fuel injector
My car is an S-reg GTI 1.8 with 44k on the clock.
