I have a 2004, a3 2.0fsi with 27,000 miles . Driving yesterday and the emission control system light came on. I only drove it a few hundred meters to the service station to get off the motorway and then the car would not start. The aa and now garage say that cylinders 3 and 4 have no compression and the spark plug in 4 had melted and they need to remove the cylinder head to get a better idea of what happened. This has a full audi service since new, has this happened to anyone else...or is this normal ? as i have no idea and not knowledgeable about cars and the bills are racking up!! would you expect this to happen to a car of this age/millage?:confused:
