Have just bought a code reader from ebay (gives code numbers and what they are) Checked it out on car tonight it checks most systems on the car but not the one i got it for ABS prob!!! :aargh4: How can I find the fault if all the readers that have been pluged in all say the same thing " un able to communicate with system" (this includes main dealers comp) Anyone came across this problem before? :beerchug: M

That means that the ABS module might have corroded terminals/connectors or might be toasted...I would start with replacing the abs controller with a known good one. Scour the breakers yards or ebay for a 2nd hand unit or inspect yours for corossion and clean thoroughly.

These guys came up in google search.
They will rebuild your ABS ECU.

I have checked the connections at the control unit and all aok,I've been told that the control unit on my car is a rare one (just my luck) are these units inter-changeable or do I need the same part number? Cheers Lex Luther for the link, car goes into an Audi specialist on friday for a service hopefully they'll come up with something. I'll keep you posted. M

Well had ABS checked whilst in the the service on friday looking very like the control unit is shot :aargh4: why is it never the cheaper things that go??? And to add to my happy times the heater motor has started to play up if I didn't love the car so much I'd trade her in!!! Ssshhhh don't tell her :biglaugh:
