Our 2000 VW Bug 2.0L with 220,000mi!! has started beeping. It's like a seat belt warning beep but we can determine no pattern. It sometimes beeps but goes off when it goes over a bump, but not always. Sometimes it goes off when you lock and unlock the doors, but not always, etc. Mechanic indicated it was in driver's door locking mechanism, but my husband, who is very knowledgeable, can't find anything even though he's taken the door off a couple of times. HELP
