Thanks Stewy. 2000 Audi A4 1.9tdi, brake warning light for 2 secs on cold starts. Have read many other similar posts and fairly happy I know what to do in sequence - top up brake fluid level a bit more, charge battery, check sensor connectors on inside of front wheels, get the Audi 'fix' for this apparently known nuisance (I'll add to my post for this), regards Dave :D
