Fuchs TITAN SINTOFLUID FE SAE 75W synthetic manual transmission oil

Synthetic, fuel-economy manual transmission fluid offering increased gearbox efficiency in passenger cars due to low viscosity level. Reduces fuel consumption and offers best cold start behaviour. Suitable as fill for life fluid according to manufacturer.

API GL-4
MB 235.10
VW TL 521 78 (G 052 178 A2)
VW TL 525 12 (G 052 512 A2)
VW TL 726-Y (G 055 726 A2)

I'm looking to switch the gear oil in my Golf (GT TDI 140) and, according to data I've got off the 'net, this seems to be the correct stuff. Who agrees? Does the 75w imply that it's a mono grade oil? Is this a bad thing? Most oils seem to be 75w90 or 80w90...

Any help greatly appreciated.

What is your gearbox code?

Thanks for your reply, Crasher.

The engine code is BKD and the gearbox code (I think) is HDV.

Thanks.

An HDV takes 2.3 litres of VW G 052 171 A2 so I don’t think that is suitable.

Excellent! Thanks again for your help.

According to this part number, I believe the correct oil is the Fuchs Sintofluid, 75w80. Hopefully this will cure my notchy gears!
