Hi,
Had my Passat diesel estate for about 3 years now, when I first bought it, at an auction, the fuel gauge was in the red (as usual at auctions) but I still managed a good few miles without having to fill up.
Lately I've been 'running out' of fuel just as the gauge goes into the red, anyone know if this is likely to be the gauge at fault or is it indicative of a failing fuel pump or something equally expensive? :mad:
Any help much appreciated.
Car is 'P' reg if that helps at all, presuming it's a B4 model?
