Turbo Wanted

I'm trying to locate a turbo for a 2006 Octavia 1.9Tdi.

Code on tag reads - 038 253 014G

But Skoda (who want over £1000 for a new one) says code is - 038 253 056E.

Any ideas or suggestions greatly appreciated.:1zhelp:

Try www.turbotechnics.com (http://www.turbotechnics.com) they do fully recon exchange units for about half that price

Bought a recon in July this year from Turbo Solutions at Darlington.
Their 12 months warranty is not worth the paper its wrote on.

It states they perform diagnostic tests on the Turbo to confirm the reason for failure and then provide a written report of the diagnostic tests.

If the diagnostic tests reveal Turbo was incorrectly manufactured they'll replace it.

Guess what? Their diagnostic tests was to just looked at it and said NO. :zx11:

Thinking of going through small claims court, but in the mean time, I need car back on the road.

Just bought a genuine brand new one for my 2000 Octavia 1.9 TDI on e-bay. I hope it fixes it!

Skoda do charge a fortune for turbos! :aargh4:

Hope you find one soon mate. There was somebody selling reconditioned ones on e-bay but I can't remember if I saw one for your model.
