1.8t intake pipe??

Hi, has anyone had any experience with changing the turbo inlet pipe on a 1.8t? I have seen uprated versions from samco, neuspeed etc which claim not to collapse. Is this a worthwhile mod (i.e any noticeable difference). My car is a 04 A4 1.8t 190 with a revo remap (225), the only other mod being a replacement panel filter.
