OK so I think I've reached the conclusion - bugger the ******** I'll do it myself. They say the rears need replacement but as far as I can see/tell there's almost no wear on them.
The fronts however will need replacing soon and I'm pretty confident I can do it myself, even if it takes me a while.
So - the question....I've been told ATE make the OEM parts for Audi for brakes - is that so? If so - I assume they are exactly like for like. Have to say at 42k miles, of which 22 have been motorway under my ownership - the discs haven't lasted that long on the front.
Any suggestions otherwise if ATE is not wise.
I don't want teeth-through-steering wheel bite, rather predictable brakes that I don't have to change in full every could of years.....
Thanks,
dan.
