Hello, I have an AUDI 100 (2.8E) 1992 (J reg), and the driver's side wing mirror glass has gone walkies. This includes the back-plate, so a stick-on replacement will not do.
I've sourced a replacement, but it's the whole unit. removing the mirror from this seems impossible (or at risk of breaking something). Can anyone advise, please?
I've see pics online of how to do this on an A4 already.
Alternatively, I thought to replace the whole wing mirror unit. There's one accessible screw for this inside the door - but after removing this - I can't see how the whole unit can easily be removed. Would I have to remove all the door panelling etc?
Many thanks
