Hi everyone. Have at present an Audi A6 2.5 TDI Quattro which is causing me no end of problems. Have joined the forum and will post my problem under the A6 section as soon as, but perhaps someone out there can persuade me not to jack in the Audi in favour of a decent car (ha!).
Trouble in France is that their servicing is bleedin' terrible, and they all seem to talk in ........ er um, French!!? ;)
Took me over 6mths of sitting in the front right hand seat wondering who had nicked the steering wheel :o

Hi Golf and Its.
Hey Itswrighty, thank god it's not just me then! You just won't want to hear the problems l've had and the money it's cost!
I think the problem is, is that when they say they are a bona fide Audi dealer that specialises in the servicing of cars, they don't say what make!
Seems to be bloody Fords in my case.

I am seriously considering driving back to the uk on trade plates as have French insurance and CT and taking car to an Audi garage in North London that I know can find and fix the problem for a 1/3 of the cost.

hope you get sorted.

Hi all, First time in a car related forum. got a mk3 golf n reg (match variant) done some work on her like keyless entry, filled in the rear number plate area to give a better body line and got rid of the door mirrors if favor of rear facings cameras. problem i have now is that the bearing for the output shaft in the gearbox has collapsed and i can't find any information on the bearing that would enable me to buy a replacement, any ideas?
I downloaded some data on the different types of gearboxes for the mk3, it would appear the one i have is the 02j as it has the VW on the end casing. Thanks in advance:beerchug:
oops, just noticed that i posted in the wrong section, sorry
