I have just had my B7 55 2.0t fsi quattro s line remapped and the difference is incredible. I highly reccomend that everyone finds £250 and has this done!

Previous Bhp - 197
Previous NM - 280

New Bhp - 249
New NM - 335

Are merc CLS's supposed to be quick??? Have had some fun today!

i can imagine the smile on your face. does the power still come in at 1800rpm or is it lower. also do you find your self changing down gears less at lower speeds

i have just ordered an st3 for my a4 b7 2 tfsi sline quattro. i will let you know the results.

Just put a deposit on the same thing. £250 sounds good, where did you have this done?

I used a company local to me called R-tech, i was discussing with them which re-map would be the best option and they gave me this response -

"If it’s getting 250bhp and 360NM then the remap will offer all the power low down in the rev range from spike turbo maps. Our 249bhp & 335nm will be across the whole rev range. People think that more bhp and torque is better, its not, some remaps have a peak bhp of 260bhp and an average bhp of 200bhp based on the whole rev range. But a well tuned car with out a boost spike will make 250bhp peak with an average of 225bhp across the range making the a lot quicker. All this peak bhp is a load of #@#@ selling point of weak retail / franchised remaps. We have carried out 1000s of hours on the rolling road and perfect our remaps to make most of the average bhp. We have put our remaps up against all the major brand names, and we have come out on top. Info can be found at golfgtiforum.co.uk"

I went for the latter option for £250 and am well pleased with the results. I thought this was good advise.

That's one hell of a power gain there. Nice mate :)

Whereabouts in the UK are you?

I wonder if they could do my 2.0TFSi A5 when it comes...

i had my mk 4 golf v5 remapped and the tunner made the torque flat accross the rev range. it had 165 ib/ft from 1500- 5500 rpm. i drove around in forth and fifth gear even around town. this made it very difficult for other cars to get the better of me. this also made for better mpg

I wish i had of known about re-maps when i had my old VW Bora 2.3 V5. That was way under powered for the size engine! Crappy gear box aswell! (Clunk, Clunk) VW's...there jusn not Audi's!!

Afraid not sorry, i have just quoted the figures that the technician quoted me.
It has a very noticable acceleration difference but i can't see any improvement in the mpg.
To see 30mpg on everyday driving is rare!! I average without motorway driving around 27mpg. With Motorway high 30's to low 40's.

David.
