Which vw van

Hi all

I am looking at buying a second hand vw transporter, an oldish one as I havn't much cash but which would you advise me to go for.

I need a SWB and something that is not going to be to heavy on fuel.

Which engine should I go for and is the anything I should look out for when I'm viewing the van.

HI, a mate of mine has a T4 swb 1.9 diesel and the other week on a bit of a jog it did just under 600 miles on a tank. Not bad if you ask me.
