Can anyone tell me whats the best way to tackle tow bar electrics on a T5 van.

I can get a wiring harness from VW that apparantly connects to the wiring in the van.

Does anyone know where this connection is made?? and is it a simple plug in device?

Or I can get an aftermarket kit which has a relay interface to protect the vehicle but this involves making connections to the vehicle wiring.

I would prefer the best option not the cheapest.

Thanks In advance

Hi Andy,
I have a 2004 VW caravelle, i bought a plug in wiring loom system for single towing electrics. It came with a harness with a number of male and female sockets that connects into the existing wiring loom without scotchlocs etc. I'll digout instructions and see if I can find sellers details for you it cost me about £40. It made a neat job, all of the electrics behind the nearside rear panel in the boot. The tow bar was a pain to fit, you have to remove bumper which has loads of plastic panel clips holding it in place which are difficult to get off without damaging them.
