As the title really. My sis and aunty have alloys which have baked-on brake dust. I've tried car shampoo/auto glym wheel cleaner and wd40 trying to get it off.

Is wonder wheels any better?

Cheers!

i use megs hot rims, spray it on and leave it to do its magic n then spray of n il do it a few times for tough brake dust n i also use a brake dust brush which is similar to like a scauring pad (duno how its spelt) but i only use it for inside the rims not on the front, for the front i use a soft brush. once u have cleaned them up it would be a good idea to get some rim wax as it gives the alloys n extra coat so when u come to clean them again its not so tough!

You also should try wheel guard from www.bromoco.co.uk (http://www.bromoco.co.uk) it seals the wheel for life...no more sticky brake dust problems mate

There is no way this is true. No "wheel guard" will seal the wheel for life.

Its true mate..... I have had it on for 3 months now and I have done 2 track days... Sure the wheels get brake dust all over them but it simply washes straight off....and if it ever gets chipped you just wipe some more on. Go look at the web site... the company is a specialist coating company.. from an engineering back ground not from the car industry

Used to use wonder wheels on my old alloys- it ended up lifting the lacquer off them through prolonged use.... powerful stuff.
