Hi, Last week my 15 year old 80 would not start:zx11:I bought a new battery £45.00 she still would not start :aargh4:I took the air cleaner lid off and gave her a shot of easy start ! she started on one cyl then two with the acc. pedal to the floor, she picked up and ran smoth:p so I thought stepper motor so I went to the local scrap yard and got one off a citroen saxo [same bosch part] £5.00! instead of £80.00! fitted it [the torx bolts are a pig to get off] the car started and ran ok for one week !!! I took the car for a spin came back from a short walk .The car would not start:zx11: easy start did not do the trick ! I had been told about the temp sensor on top of the plastic flange on the engine block beside the temp sender so I un- pluged it the car started!!!!! I went to g.s.& f and bought the sensor for £ 8.00! TEMP SENSOR-2 PIN BLUE PART NO.025-906 041a £8.52 The car is now running sweet :biglaugh:
