A8 Tyre Advice

I have an A8 3.0 TDI Quattro, on standard 17" rims. The OE tyres, Bridgestone REO 40s, are now due for replacement.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to what to fit? Priorities are comfort, quietness and reasonably long life.

Have used Goodyear Eagle F1s on previous cars, but never on an A8 - any thoughts on suitability at all?

I think the Yokohama S Drive (silent drive) would be a good choice bearing in mind your criterea, they're not particularly expensive either (definately not as pricey as Eagle F1's). ;)
