blown brake fuse

I have 1998 1.9tdi polo, it keeps blowing rear brake fuses. It will not restart until a new fuses is fitted. Any idears ??

I have 1998 1.9tdi polo, it keeps blowing rear brake fuses. It will not restart until a new fuses is fitted. Any idears ??


My polo kept leaking water through the back lights into the rear of the car.
When i checked where the water was coming from, both the light cluster and wiring was soaking wet.
I was very fortunate something did not blow.
New gaskets did not stop the problem, i ended up using gutter sealant round the area the light went into the body.
This sorted the problem. This was the passenger side, the drivers is O.K
I am not looking forward to changing the bulbs if they ever blow.
Just an idea for you to consider.
