hi everyone i have a 1990 2.3 90 quattro 7A engine and was wondering if i cud put a t2 turbo on it and what work would be required?

To do this, as a minimum, you need a turbo and exhaust manifold/exhaust system. Some S2 coupe parts could be used. But then there is no easy way of increasing the fuelling to match the air you just added.
034 efi market a kit that does what you seek. It costs aprox $3500 (us) and is limited to producing about 6psi boost +200hp. To go any higher than this, the engine's compression ratio must be lowered - either by using a thicker head gasket, or preferably by using deeper dish pistons
Buying an engine and ancilliarys and wiring loom from an S2 model is a cheaper route.

But very high hp can be achieved with a custom built engine and standalone engine management eg 034, VEMS, megasquirt

Cheapest upgrade path is to 'downgrade' to a 10v turbo engine from an audi 100/200. These can put out 180-200 hp and chip up to approx 220. You might pick up a complete donor for not much money?

thats great mate thanks youve been a great help, i have a t2 garret turbo and a manifold ready. i had the turbo at a bargain price of £2.50 and its mint!

I have 10 valve turbo engine with Megasquirt for sale. There were 220 Bhp and 350 Nm before remaking of head. Compresion ratio 7.9:1.

audi sport quattro exhaust manifold (brand new)
audi rs2 kit for AAN, ABY engine (rs2 turbocharger, exhaust manifold, injectors, set of chips for ~350 Bhp)
