Hi, had Audis for over 15years now so well used to them but have only just signed up to the forum, have an A6 with 145k and an A8 also with 145k (I know, just about run in!) and have just bought a second hand 2006 S8 when 300 miles later the ol' favourite engine light hits the dash display and off to my local Audi. Spoke with the Audi dealer I bought from and their service dept said "it had a new engine earlier this year" (didn't mention that in the sales conversation) so 50% delighted and 50% worried. The EML warning has been diagnoised as Lander probe and someone mentioned that the CATs may be affected by the engine change?
HELP, how can I check this as the milage is 28k and after 60k Audi will say outside warranty but the CATs normally last for 110k.
