hi stupid question

bought a 1.9 tdi se it's just got the basic computer miles outside temp you know

Question is! is it possible to put a computer from say like s3 where you would get miles to the gallon etc etc.

tried searching for this so sorry if it's a repost :o

What year is it? If you have outside temp and miles to empty in the display area between the speedo and rev-counter then it should be possible.

Isaac ive got a VW Golf TDI Mark Iv 2003, and my computer used to display miles covered in the journey, then it displayed time covered on a journey and now it displays miles per gallon.. how can I change these?

it's a 2006

the outside temp and time is under the rev counter

and the mileage is under the speedo

there is a display area between the 2 clocks but it's blank

If so, then it cant be done with out changing the entire assembly.

If your outside temp was where the small picture of the car was then it would be possible.

Its hard to understand what you are asking. Does your display indicate MPG, journey time, journey distance already? If you have the rocker switch on the end of the wiper stalk then you have the DIS/trip computer already.

Thanks to all those who helped, I located the button on the wiper stalk and was excited for a total of 2 minutes while I realised the options.
