Hello all,
I have recently got a 1995 Golf GTI 8v which needed some TLC!
I've just changed the rear disks, pads and bearings on both sides, which I must say wasn't fun at all.
Also I dismantled the left rear caliper as it was seized. After doing all this I bled the side I had taken off using a one way valve to try and remove all the bubbles.
Once all complete I took it out for a test drive to wear in the new pads, I found a thread on how to bed them in and followed it. The ABS light went off as normal after ignition but then the first time I lightly pressed the brake pedal I felt the ABS kick in (the pedal vibrated) and the ABS light came back on again. Now the light wont go out even after following the bedding in process. Also I noticed when I was bedding the new pads in and I braked quite heavy the rear left side locked up.
Any ideas please? Do I need to bleed all the brakes & ABS unit??
