Seems stupid asking people what they think a noise could be but here goes.
Changed front tyres on car as others worn 24,000 miles. Since then have developed a high pitched whine at anything above 55, I swopped tyres to back and back tyres to front whine is still there. Its so noisy its uncomfortable, wife is adamant its after tyre change any ideas

On another note can anybody recommend a good set of side skirts for car

cheers

Any wobble on the wheel could be a front bearing

I've got a ford escort with an rs rear disc conversion and that eats bearing every 6 months. Believe it's the heat from the discs causing the damage.

No bearings should last longer on a standard car I'd be pretty miffed to:zx11:

Check the brake back plates are not touching the discs ever so slightly. sometimes when a wheel is removed it pushes the plate toward the discs and give a horrible noise, get a screwdriver and push them all back slightly then try it again
