Hi - I test drove an A4 S-line Avant that had standard steering. It seemed perfectly OK to me but the dealer advised that I should consider the servotronic option as it was "lighter". Anyone got it on their A4, any opinions on servotronic, positive or negative. Just looking for some guidance as to whether it makes a real difference or not, one worth paying for? Thanks.

Its a must, the 2.0 diesel standard rack is very heavy at low speed and servo is fantastic

Really pleased with the Servotronic. A good weighting at speed yet very easy to manouvre in car parks etc - especially with the 19" wheels.

Its a pretty personal choice. I would recommend driving both if you can

The steering is defiantly lighter when parking but weights up nicely at speed. Much easier to park and manoeuvre as a result.

Worth the money in my opinion.

OK, I'm convinced....reviews of servotronic seem generally positive in terms of "lighter" steering. I'll add that to the list. Thanks for the input folks.....
