Has anyone ever successfully 'bodged' the accelerator pedal on an Audi 80, I'm on the 2nd pedal in my car now and the pedal plate has snapped again at the flexible joint, so going to have a go at a decent repair but looking for any tips.

Or I'll just do what lots of people seem to do and drive with the plate missing.

Ran an Audi 80 2.0 E until 18 months ago and my pedal broke. Glued it up solid with Araldite and a bit of stainless steel. Permanent fix, looked the same and the lack of flex didn't bother me.

Hi,
I did an even easier fix.
Use some black insulating tape wrapped around the pedal as tightly as you dare and then just gently warm it with a hair drier and the Audi logo shows through ok.
The downside is that the pedal now is not flexible but can be lived with no problem atall.
Cheers

Just happened to me put some grip glue on it and ran it for abt 10 mins so far, so good!

if it comes off 2 drill holes and 2 screws should sort this permenantly!

hope theres no harm in drilling
