Help!!!!!!!! Key Not Working!

Hey guys just firstly want to say what a great site!
I do have a very big problem however, my car wouldnt open yesterday evening so thought it would be the battery in the fob so got to halfords before it shuts bought 2 new batteries and installed them.
Pressed the fob still nothing from my car i have tried unlocking car with key in door but it wont turn and seems deadlocked? I still cant get in my car tried everything any help would be appreciated!!! As I really need to drive my lovelu audi a4. Oh its a A4 2.4 petrol R reg.
I also dont have another fob only a normal key with no buttons.

Try the key in the lock again, It can be very stiff due to not being used allot, mine was on my car, thought the key was wrong!! once open, you should follow the remote matching procedure :)
