Rev counter in my ´93 TDI????

Hi....

Total newbee here, from Denmark

Found this great forum, and already need help.....

I own a perfect condition ´93 TDI Avant, and simply loves the car...

BUT, i wanted to replace the ugly clock ind the dash, with a rev counter instead, and bougth it..

Tried fitting it, and the clock and some of the warninglamps worked fine, but the revcounter simply isn´t working.....

Then discovered a white plug ( 6 pins-flat ) coming from the instrument, and my guess is thats why it´s not working....

Can anyone tell me where to put this plug??

Or must i go to my dealer and purchase some form of wirering??
