I'm guessing your avatar is Monza Silver awtaylor, as it looks slightly greyer.

I must admit when I first saw the B8 avant- I wasn't too sure on the looks, but the more I see of them, the more I want! :D

Enjoy your new wheels!

Good looking car. I am still harbouring doubts about Aruba Blue!

I haven't dared do the photo's thing yet......feel a prat taking pictures of a car!

My new avatar is my current car so definitely Ice Silver;-)

What I have found is that the colour appears very different depending upon the ambient light, i.e. mainly grey in current weather. Sun did make a brief appearance yesterday afternoon when I was collecting the kids from school and they thought it was white:confused:

I am really extremely happy with the car, it is so much more refined and feels even more solid that my B7 S-line saloon that I traded in.

As it is so well specified I don't regret loading it with extras. 19" wheels would have been nice but I have to pay for my own tyres and was looking for something well planted on the road but less harsh than my outgoing car. The new A4 provides me with everything I was looking for:approve:

I do like it but.......

Anyway - I have an annoying driver seat creaking noise when I change gear to occupy my mind now. This is linked to my vast bulk being pushed backwards slightly with the momentum of the car picking up speed. Just waiting to see if anything else crops up before I start squeaking to the local dealer!

Never mind the temp. How are you getting 37.6mpg?! Im getting mid 20s on my route to work at the moment. Nowhere near what that claim!

Funny - I'm getting about 37mpg on a 10 mile stop-start run and I'm thinking that it's poor.
I used to get 43mpg in the Passat.....surely this will change though. There are still less than 300 miles on the clock!

I am expecting it to rise to mid-40s even with the majority of my driving being a 17 mile stop-start commute. Used to average around 42 in my previous B7 2.0 TDI.

Difference between petrol and diesel! I have never been able to achieve manufacturer's claimed MPG....maybe I have a heavy foot :biglaugh:
