He loves the feeling a beautiful Italian car gives you when you drive it.
The sound of the engine that only the Italians can do.
They are 100% full of character, something my Passat can only dream about :biglaugh:

Sophie Anderton is full of character, and I woudn't mind feeling her, but strewth, she'd be such high maintenance, I'd have to trade her in for a newer model :D

I think sometimes it is worth living a little, high maintenance could be good I think.

4.2 V8's are not exactly the cheapest motors to run. We only have one go at this life thing though ;)

I am surprised Sean, you being retired and I assume not on health grounds, would you always take a new car over an old or classic?

I do like modern cars very much, but love some of the classics, especially the cars I grew up around.

I agree, but the novelty factor wears off after a while! ;)

Tell me - that is why the GTI is for commuting & town driving, and the S4 is for the long distance jaunts.

Sadly, I'm still some distance from drawing my wrinkly pension. My heart says oldies, but my head, and all the other worn out bits of me say new.

Same here, those rose-tinted days eh!

W8 is my car. 1.8T is the wife's. The Alfa is the headache that will not go away. For the US 1982 was the first year for Alfa with a Bosch electronic fuel injection. If anyone knows Bosch fuel injection systems very well please give me a jingle.

Has the Alfa got the Bosch K-tronic system?

This document is great, http://www.auto-solve.com/mech_inj.htm
