Need a little advise

Hi all, im new to the forum so first i will say hello. Hello lol.
Im in need of sum advice as im thinking of buying a mk4 golf, but its slightly unusual. Its got a 2.0litre TT engine in it!? I understand that its turbo charged with a 6speed box. Im informed that the manifold is blowing sumwhere near the turbo (Its got a complete stainless system) and that the front ball joints require replacing. Now is this a common engine or is it a specialty item? would i be best to stay away from it? The owner hasnt got the receipts for the work as he was never sent them...any ideas anyone??

The TT only came with a 2 litre engine from 2007 so either it isn’t a 2 litre or it is a conversion and that makes it even more specialist than if it was a 1.8. I strongly suggest you have this car extremely thoroughly and carefully inspected
by a VAG specialist before buying as you could be investing in a money pit. You have to ask yourself why after spending so much time and money the vendor is selling it.
