Hi guys

I just got a price back from vagpart for the wiper stalk with dis mpg rocker. it came to 65 quid delivered, is this right or shall i source it esle where. also is it worth geting the criuse control and doing in it one hit?

Sounds about right to me, doing cruise at the same time makes sense. If you'd get much usage from cruise control that is?!

I only do 10% motorway drives so i might give it a miss. but again i will see ho much the difference is. i think the criuse control and dis come as one complete piece aswell

The cruise control stalk and the DIS enabled wiper stalk are two totally seperate components.

Fit it yourself and save some pennies, Its a piece of cake.

As for VAG-COM, depends where you are in the country? Did you check out the VAG-COM user section of the forum to find someone in your area?

http://www.audiretrofit.co.uk/ this is for cruise, but by default it also includes most of the work for DIS.

Hey K,

Cool, look forward to hearing from you when you get back.
Is it just a DIS install you are after or cruise as well?
What kinda car you got?

Cheers

I think they are, it wont have stuff like the low washer level warning unless you fit the sensor into the washer bottle.

But it will give all the MPG, time and distance readouts.

You only need a new wiper stalk and a bit of VAG-COM coding.

To add the low washer warning only costs an extra £10-15, can't remember the exact price but thats for the sender, washer and some wire from halfords and a repair wire!

Worth the hour or so extra work IMO!!

yeah I reckon its worth the extra effort for £15. Thankfully mine had the DIS already so it was one retro I didnt need to do!
