View Full Version : Exterior Temperature Gauge

Can anyone help me identify where the Exterior Temperature sensor is located on a 2001 Audi A6.
The temp gauge on the dashboard is usually blank, and occasionally reads -35C or some other equally ridiculous value!
I guess the sensor is either faulty, or a wire has come loose and the lack of resistance is making the gauge read silly figures.
Sometime the temperature will slowly rise from -39C to -34C very slowly and over a long drive. Entertaining but useless!
Any help that anyone can provide would be much appreciated.:1zhelp:

On my fabia it is plugged in beside the lower left foglight, in one of the bumper trim panels. :)

In the Audi I think it's in front of the rad a/c condenser attached to the power steering cooling system.

You can read external temperatures by using the Climatronic codes but I can't remember how to get to it!
