Can anyone help me with this very annoying hissing noise coming from the front end of my car please?
Wen sitting in the car and driving it under load/acceleration, the noise is more pronounced from the right side of the engine closest to the driver.
Its not the exhaust as it passed the MOT a few weeks back and this noise has been getting slowly worse since i bought the car.
Thinking it was the catalyst i replaced it and it made no difference, i have now been told that it could be the charcoal canister???????? wot is this?
could this be the cause?
does anybody know of a common fault that occurs with the mkIII golf GTI 2.0 8v engines?
