Where have you put your HF mic?

- A -pillar, joint in trims would be quite good position?
- Card holder in dash, cabling is easy on that, is that too far?
- A "hidden" solution? roof panel where are the lights and sunglass box, what those grills up there, how to get cable up there?
- somewhere else?

Patient is 2006 Sportline w/RCD300 and Blaupunkt USB/BT HF.

Hi

As you say, hidden solution is best, and achievable.

I have fitted mine behind one of those "grills" up there. Works well. All comes apart quite easily.

You can run the cable behind the glove box (easily removed) and up the trim inside the door pillar. You may need to remove the sun visor so that you can feed a straightened coat hanger from the side through to the roof panel. Just connect up your HF microphone wire to the coathanger and pull it through.

Probably best to start at the top and pull the wire down (it is smaller than trying to pull the microphone up).

Good luck.

Thanks,
I will do that hidden one, from up to down. Do not yet know is the cable long enough, but that is not the problem, I can extend that.
Door pillar trim, is it only one screw? behind that airbag label.

Hi

Did not touch the airbag label! Too close for comfort!

Just squeezed the cable inside the rubber trim without removing it.

Finaly local dealer delivered the parts.
Installation was quite easy after all, no need to remove sun visor. I just loosen handle screws, so it was easier to peek under roof panel.
