Hi all, i have recently discovered this site as a result of being referred by a good friend :)
I have recently acquired an Audi A4 TDI (unsure of which engine model) 1.9 on a 'T' plate (1999, B5 i believe). The main reason for my registration is just to gain some knowledge from existing users with a view to maybe passing that knowledge on to others in the future.
Unfortunatly, this will be a learning experience for me though as this is my first exposure to a diesel engine and i am having a couple of issues.
I would be very grateful if someone could point me in the right direction to deal with these as this car is my daily driver. It seems when the car is stationary and i rev it slightly there is a 'click' from something under the bonnet, and also the turbo seems to be working intermittently :s
I have been pointed in the direction of the EGR valve but surely this wouldn't be clicking on idle?
