HI,

I'm looking to buy an Audi S3 (210) with around 70,000 miles on the clock. I'm new to Audis, so was wondering if there is anything to watch out for when looking at a vehicle of this mileage.

Any buying advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Anyone know when the belt / chain should be done and if so how much it is likely to cost?

Many thanks

Russell

The service book that came with my car ( x reg S3 210 bhp)stated that the toothed belt should be replaced every 120000 miles. It is my understanding that this interval is very optimistic and the majority of people have replaced theirs much sooner. I got mine replaced at 60k. I bought a genuine VAG timing belt kit online from AVS car spares for £67 and paid a local garage to fit it for £120. I dread to think what a main dealer would have charged.

Nice one, have bought the S3 with 71,000 and got the belt done. The brakes seem a little spongy/weak though, i've heard they're meant tobe strong though??? Also the car pulls slightly to the left anddont think it is the road camber??

Any suggestions??
