a3 non starter

hi i have an audi a3 tdi which runs perfect, once the engine is warm the engine will not restart until the engine has cooled, the dash display reads OK when ignition is switched on , the problem only occours when turning key to start,the starter moter does absoulutly nothing, when its left for a while ,it start as normal, the only minor thing i have also noticed is the radio cuts out for a spl;it second, this may have nothing to do with it

What I can do is have a word with a VAG specialist I know, but this will be Monday now, if that's OK?

Could you email or Private message me either the registration number, or the engine number of the vehicle, but please, for security reasons do not post it on the forum ;)This will give me a better idea of the engine type.

Hi

I have spoken to my chap here, he seems to think it could either be a faulty starter motor, or a wiring fault on the starter or ignition side of things. This could be braeking contact when things warm up. Other than that he cannot suggest anything :(
