Dealer rang me on Wednesday to say that their Demo had arrived and when did I want to come and take a test drive. So I arranged it for 10.30 this morning {Saturday}.
The Car.
2.0 TSI, Deep Black Pearl, DSG, Pano Roof, Black Leather, Winter Pack.
First Impressions
As I drove into the dealership the Scirocco was stood there gleaming, and looked fantastic in the sunlight.
I got hold of the keys and had a good look around the interior. The quality of fit and finish is excellent and the black leather seats with the grey stitching looked superb, the room in the back for me @ 6' 1" was a little tight on headroom the seats were comfortable and legroom was adequate, the boot while it does have a high sill is plenty big enough {for my needs anyway}.
The Drive.
After a quick run down the motorway in normal mode which was comfotable I was able to take the car onto a back road and get it into the sport mode which nicely stiffened the suspension and steering but not to much as to make it an uncomfortable ride. I selected manual mode and used the steering wheel paddles to change gears which gave a nice little "POP" on each gear change. The engine was very responsive accelerated effortlesly through all the gears, whilst the road was not twisty the composure of the the car felt excellent and on taking a roundabout at quite a considerable speed I felt confident in the ability of the car to cope.
Now it was time to take the car back to the dealership and take a couple of photos. I had taken my camera with me to try and get some decent shots but unfortunately what I didn't do was check the battery,:Blush2: so I had to take a couple with my phone.
All in all I am more than happy with my decision to order one.
