Hello People

Just bought a alhambra 1.9 tdi 2000 plate .

Now im gettting realy bad judderin when accelerating in 3rd gear .

Im no mechanic but i jacked it up to day and noticed that there is a lot of play on the drivers isde driveshaft .

I know there should be some play side to side but when i push up on it there is quite a lot of movement is this supposed to happen ??/

Checked the passenger side one and this doesnt happen .

Could i possibly rumbled the cause of the juddering ???

Regards kieran :beerchug:

Hi Can't remember now without looking under mine, but one of my shafts sherared and I loist all drive. It was the side with a UJ in it.

Apparently these are a weak point. If it is that one that's gone it would be worth switching it now before it goes completely

Hope this helps

Cheers

drivers side driveshaft is a known weak point on these. jack up and put in gear. there should be minimal backlash in the wheel.
