Hi all , as any1 ever experienced the above, sometimes it is a louder sound than other times and a bit unnerving.Sometimes it doesn't do it at all but 90% of the time it does,(seems to come from the left front)
I have looked and felt the caliper which seems fine / wonder if it is the internal section of caliper or might it be something else ?
I have got a extended warranty and am wondering if this will be covered at the main dealers or any garage.
The car is a Golf GT TDI 2002 (130 bhp)

Thanks Ian.

Hi

Just had a word with a technicion pal of mine, he has know a similar car to do this. It took a long time to find the problem, but turned out to be a groove which had worn in the actual carrier for the front brake caliper, the part the caliper mounts to.

If this is the case with your's, it should be coverd by warranty.
